Seize The Time (Children of The Black School & Children of Camp Nizhoni, Lincoln Hills) takes its title from the 1970 book by political activist Bobby Seale and references the two images of children at Camp Nizhoni in 1937 and at the alternative Saturday school for Black children organised in 1970s Boulder, Colorado. Various shades of deep and pale blues are painted into the surface composed of textile, canvas and Yule quarry marble paste that is both stained with washes of orange acrylic paint as well as untinted atop raw canvas.
