The transformed halftone line image painted into the marble paste and black paper embedded canvas and textile surface of Let's Stay Together (1987 Colorado Students' Demonstration & the 1972 Second Baptist Church Choir) is a partial image from a 1987 student demonstration on the campus of a Colorado University. These painted lines intersect with halftone lines printed on vinyl strips depicting a partial image still of the choir singing at the Second Baptist Church of Boulder in 1972. The collision of histories in colour and lines on a very irregular surface produce a new visual experience.
