This work was originally conceived as the other half to A Daughter of the Southern Cross was ‘Assisted’ by Her Heroes, Biscuit Bill and Maxim Confederus Manilius, as she Loaded her 12 Pounder Napoleon to Remove Some Uninvited Guests, 2024. While the two figures appear as a united force, there is a sense of resentment in the social dynamic between the two; they are focused on combat, yet there is a volcano erupting around them and both men are plagued by a skin disease, reinforcing the idea that the enemy is the climate that they are bringing upon themselves.
