Moving away from the classical paradigm of fortified human structures, Creatures of the Flame I suggests an entanglement of man-made and geological forms. Building upon the traditions of landscape painting, Blissett reimagines the landscape not as a backdrop but as a spectral force that unsettles boundaries between nature, culture, and the self.
